How can you guarantee that the development team can understand me?

Communication is never perfect, even on onshore projects. However we seek to minimize any potential risks due to language. At Ethos, each project’s project manager is a native speaker of the same language as the client. We feel this is the best way for communication to happen efficiently and effectively. In addition, English is the working language at the office.

Ask our project managers. Most of them do not speak Chinese. They often do the candidate interviews.

I’ve heard Chinese contract law may not protect me. How do I know your contracts are valid?

Ethos is a registered Singaporean company. All contracts are signed under Singaporean law.

How can you protect my intellectual property?

At Ethos, we work to the best of our capabilities to protect your property. NDAs are administered wherever possible. In some cases, we VPN and work directly on remote computers so that your code is not running off machines in China.

Can I meet my dedicated development team?

Yes. In fact, we encourage clients to come and visit the Ethos office. We can provide a desk here for clients to work out of. Whenever possible, Ethos tries to arrange kick-off project meetings on-site in our Beijing office.
